These tables provide additional information on New Zealand's international trade in services. Data is available by country for New Zealand's major trading partners (in terms of services trade), and has also been broken down into a comprehensive list of service types. However, please note that these tables exclude transportation, travel, insurance, and government services as this data is not available by country.
Trade in services includes transactions where no physical product changes hands. For example, a New Zealand lawyer providing advice to a client overseas, or an overseas head office charging a management fee to its New Zealand branch.
Tables are for June years, starting from the year ended June 2006. Detailed country data for trade in services became available with the introduction of the latest version of the International Trade in Services and Royalties questionnaire in the September 2005 quarter.
